Gaetano John "Gaten" Matarazzo III was born September 8, 2002 in New London, Connecticut. He began his acting career at a young age at 2011 and Matarazzo made his screen acting debut in a 2015 episode of The Blacklist.

Gaten rose to global prominence for his role as Dustin Henderson in the hit Netflix series Stranger Things (2016–present).

He is open about his experiences living with cleidocranial dysplasia (CCD) and uses his voice to raise awareness and support for others with the condition. In addition to acting, he enjoys music, gaming, and spending time with family and friends.
